Robert Herjavec is a very successful Canadian-Yugoslavian business leader who was initially born in Yugoslavia and escaped to Halifax at a young age to avoid the communist leadership that was happening at the time. His family arrived with only $20 in their pocket and very limited English skills. His journey to a $100 million net worth is one of the worlds greatest rags to riches story and his ability to lead and chase after his childhood dreams lead him to this success.
Robert was interested in making money and helping his family right from the start. His first job was delivering papers while also waiting on tables. During any free time he had from working, he was building his own computer company in his basement. He would soon be able to leave to a more suitable location after developing and selling his computer security company to AT&T and another technology company to Nokia for a total of $225 million. His success would then take off after several magazines and newspapers asking for advice in regards to his amazing entrepreneur skills. With this new found wealth, he was able to retire very early of course but he decided to continue pursuing more business ideas which would result in finding the Herjavec Group which is currently Canada's fastest growing technology company. With just 3 people running this company in total, he was able to generate over $400 thousand in revenue which would then grow to over 200 employees with $125 million in revenue.
